​Having grown up with a podiatrist father, I was exposed to the world of foot care and conditions from a young age, learning about feet and the treatment required.

What is a Foot Health Practitioner?
A Foot Health Practitioner or FHP is a healthcare professional who specialises in everyday foot care and maintenance. They focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of common foot issues that do not require surgery.

A Foot Health Practitioner will refer a patient to a Chiropodist or Podiatrist where advanced medical intervention is required.
​
The Foot Health Practitioner will help maintain foot health for people who may find it difficult doing it themselves, such as more elderly people, individuals with certain mobility conditions or those with diabetes.
